More about Torch coral

Torch corals, scientifically known as Euphyllia glabrescens, are a type of large-polyp stony (LPS) coral renowned for their long, flowing tentacles and striking, fluorescent appearance. They thrive in water temperatures between 72°F and 78°F, with a pH range of 8.1 to 8.4. Torch corals prefer moderate to strong water flow and low to moderate lighting, which help simulate their natural deep reef environments. Known for their mesmerizing movement and vibrant colors, these corals can be a centerpiece in any reef aquarium. They do, however, require some care to maintain proper distance from other corals, as their sweeping tentacles can sting and damage neighboring species. Their hardiness and dramatic visual appeal make them popular among aquarists, though they are sensitive to water quality and require stable conditions to thrive.
