More about Chainlink moray eel

The Chainlink moray eel (Echidna catenata) is a marine fish characterized by its distinctive pattern of chain-like markings across a dark brown to black body. It is primarily found in the Western Atlantic Ocean, from Florida and the Gulf of Mexico to Brazil, as well as in the Caribbean Sea. This eel can reach a length of up to 75 cm (30 inches) and has a somewhat compressed, elongate body shape typical of moray eels. It is not particularly well-known in the aquarium hobby, partly due to its size and specific care requirements.
