Dusky batfish

The Dusky batfish (Platax pinnatus) is characterized by its deep black color with orange to red outlining on its fins. Native to the Indo-Pacific region, it has a distinct appearance with a laterally compressed body and long dorsal and anal fins. Though striking, it is not as commonly kept in the aquarium hobby compared to other marine species, likely due to its size and specific care requirements.
