Dussumieri tang

The Dussumieri tang (Acanthurus dussumieri) is primarily gray in color with a distinctively elongated white spot on its caudal peduncle. It hails from the Indo-Pacific region. This species exhibits a sleek body shape common to tangs, with adults capable of reaching sizes up to 50 cm in length, making them one of the larger members of the Acanthuridae family. In the aquarium hobby, the Dussumieri tang is less commonly known compared to other tang species, partly due to its size and specialized dietary requirements.
