Green moray eel

The Green moray eel (Gymnothorax funebris) is characterized by its vibrant green skin, a result of a yellow mucous covering over a blue body, which aids in its camouflaging abilities. It originates from the Atlantic Ocean, ranging from New Jersey, USA, to Brazil, including the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean. This species grows up to 8 feet in length, featuring a serpentine body typical of moray eels. Despite its striking appearance, it is not commonly kept in the aquarium hobby, largely due to its size and specific care requirements.
