Kole tang

The Kole tang (Ctenochaetus strigosus), also known as the Spotted Surgeonfish or Yellow-eyed Tang, is characterized by its brown to reddish-brown body with blue to purple hues and a distinctive yellow ring around its eye. Originating from the Pacific Ocean, particularly around Hawaii and other central Pacific islands, this fish is recognizable by its bristle-like teeth and relatively small size compared to other tangs. It is well-regarded in the aquarium hobby for its algae-eating habits and is considered a beneficial addition for controlling algae growth in reef tanks.
