More about Longfin dottyback

The Longfin dottyback (Manonichthys polynemus), also known as the Harlequin dottyback or the Blackfin dartfish, is a marine fish with a distinctive coloration, blending from yellow to blue towards the tail, with a pronounced black dorsal fin. Originating from the Western Pacific, particularly around Indonesia and the Philippines, it resides in coral reefs at depths ranging from 15 to 40 meters. This species, growing to about 9 cm in length, is characterized by its elongated body and fins. While its unique appearance has garnered some interest, it remains relatively less well-known in the aquarium hobby compared to other dottybacks.
