Ochre-striped cardinalfish

The Ochre-striped cardinalfish (Ostorhinchus compressus) is characterized by its ochre to yellowish stripes against a lighter background. Native to the western Pacific Ocean, from the Philippines to Australia, this species has a distinct appearance with a compressed body and long dorsal and anal fins. It is not particularly well-known in the aquarium hobby, as its presence in home tanks is less common compared to other cardinalfish species.
