The optimal tank environment for the Pinkface Wrasse should mimic its natural habitat. A tank of at least 100 liters per fish is recommended to accommodate its active and sometimes territorial nature. Maintaining a stable water temperature between 24°C and 28°C is crucial, along with a pH level ranging from 8.1 to 8.4. The tank should have ample hiding spots and plenty of open swimming space, using live rocks for decoration. An efficient filtration system is necessary to ensure clean water and to support the Pinkface Wrasse's well-being.

Feeding

The Pinkface Wrasse is a carnivorous fish that thrives on a varied diet. It feeds on small crustaceans, mollusks, and other meaty foods. It's essential to provide a balanced diet to meet its nutritional needs. Offering a combination of high-quality frozen or live foods, such as Mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and finely chopped marine meats, will help maintain its vibrancy and health. Feeding should occur once to twice a day, ensuring that the fish consumes the food within a few minutes.

Behavior and Compatibility

Although the Pinkface Wrasse is highly territorial, especially towards similar-sized tank mates, careful selection of compatible species can create a harmonious community tank. It is advisable to avoid housing them with smaller or more passive species to prevent any stress or aggressive encounters. Similarly, they should not be housed with much larger predatory fish. Breeding
