The Spotted wobbegong, Orectolobus maculatus, is a species of carpet shark notable for its distinctive beige to brown color, adorned with dark saddles and spots. Native to the coastal regions of Australia, this bottom-dwelling fish has a flattened body and fringed barbels around its mouth, enhancing its camouflaged appearance among the ocean floor. It is not commonly kept in the aquarium hobby, partly due to its size and specific care requirements.
