Yellow back goatfish

The Yellow back goatfish (Parupeneus barberinus) is characterized by its distinctive yellow back and white underside, complemented by a pair of long, whisker-like barbels under its chin. It mainly inhabits the tropical waters of the Indo-Pacific region. This species is recognized for its striking appearance and bottom-dwelling behavior, actively sifting through sand for food with its barbels. Despite its colorful appearance, it is not exceptionally well-known in the aquarium hobby, primarily due to its size and specific habitat requirements.
