Feeding
Yellow wrasses are carnivores and should be fed a varied diet that includes a combination of live and frozen meaty foods like brine shrimp, Mysis shrimp, and vitamin-enriched brine. They may also accept high-quality flake or pellet foods, but live or frozen options are preferred.
Tank Setup
Provide plenty of rockwork and caves for hiding places as well as sandy substrate since yellow wrasses like to burrow. The tank should have moderate to strong water movement and efficient filtration. Maintain stable water conditions with a temperature range between 22°C to 28°C, pH levels between 8.1 to 8.4, and a tank size of at least 75 liters per fish. These fish are moderately territorial, so provide adequate space and avoid keeping them with aggressive tank mates.
Additional Tips
Yellow wrasses are found in the Western Pacific Ocean and are least concerned in terms of conservation status. Monitor their behavior closely as they can be moderately territorial. Regular water changes and a well-balanced diet are essential for their health and well-being.
