Micranthemum Monte Carlo is known for its ease of care, making it suitable for beginners in the aquarium hobby. It does not have any specific CO2 requirements and can thrive in standard low-tech setups, although providing supplemental CO2 can help it grow more densely and robustly. This plant prefers soft to moderately hard water and moderate temperatures ranging from 68-82°F (20-28°C).

When properly cultivated, Hemianthus micranthemoides forms lush carpets and creates a visually appealing foreground or midground in aquatic landscapes. Regular trimming and adequate nutrient supplementation will encourage healthy growth and prevent vertical elongation.
