Australian Rainbowfish are a vibrant and colorful addition to any freshwater aquarium. Known for their resilience and social nature, they thrive in well-maintained environments that replicate their natural habitat. Setting Up the Tank

The Australian Rainbowfish requires an aquatic environment that promotes their health and showcases their natural behaviors. A minimum tank size of 240 liters (for a group of six fish) is recommended to provide ample space for swimming. These fish dwell at various tank levels including surface, mid-tank, and bottom, so either a tall or long aquarium suits them well. The preferred water temperature range for Rainbowfish is between 22°C and 26°C. To maintain water quality, a pH between 6.5 and 8 is ideal. It is crucial to set up a filtration system that can handle the bioload while causing minimal disruption to the water flow, as these fish enjoy gentle currents.

Water Conditions and Maintenance
