Environment

Each fish needs about 10 liters of water, and a minimum school size of 6 is recommended to foster their social nature. They are diverse in their habitat occupation, thriving as surface, mid-tank, and bottom dwellers.

Tank Setup

When setting up a tank for Pumpkinseeds, ensure it includes ample swimming space along with natural decorations that mimic their natural environment. Adding plants, rocks, and driftwood can enhance their habitat and help alleviate territorial behavior. It is also advisable to create separate territories within the tank to minimize conflicts.

Feeding

Pumpkinseeds have diverse dietary needs. They can be fed a mixture of flakes, pellets, and freeze-dried foods.
